WHY PRELOVED?
All parents want the best for their children. And increasingly, it’s become clear that one of the best things a parent can give their child is a healthy planet for their future.
The fashion and textile industry is one of the biggest polluters in the world. “Fast fashion” has created enormous landfill issues, not to mention the resources and energy required to churn out the vast volumes of ever-changing product lines made by underpaid workers. There is so much waste involved. So, at Round & Round the Garden, we are on a mission to salvage childrenswear so that each item’s life is prolonged well beyond its first wear. In turn, we hope that our contribution will go some way to helping prolong the life of our planet.
As most parents will attest, baby and childrenswear is generally outgrown before it is worn out. This means there is nearly always plenty of life left in clothes that are no longer needed and Round & Round the Garden strives to rehome these items and ready them for another family to enjoy.
Our service is twofold – offering a quality and trusted preloved selection for purchase, and providing an easy, responsible, no hassle service to those clearing out their children’s wardrobes.
Our mission is not just to keep our children’s clothing out of landfill. We are participating in building a circular economy to extend the life of the clothing, and see it worn again. And again. After all, the most sustainable clothes are the ones that already exist.

At Round & Round the Garden, we are passionate about preloved childrenswear being as enjoyable, accessible and affordable as possible for everyone. We stock a wide selection of brands which means we can offer a range of price points, ensuring good quality preloved is within reach for everybody.
We carefully source and recondition our stock to the highest standard. It is checked and double-checked for quality and graded accordingly. Most of our items are in immaculate condition, however as part of our mission to keep as many textiles as possible out of landfill, we strive to find new homes for items that may have had a bit more love, but still have plenty of life and many adventures round the garden left in them.
All our stock is priced to reflect its quality and standard. We endeavour to be the most trusted brand in second-hand childrenswear, so we like to be very clear about the condition of our items. Our meticulous attention to detail ensures that any faults are stated so you know exactly what you are buying. We appreciate our environmentally and sustainably minded customers who are also doing their best to tread gently along the parenting garden path.
CHARITY PARTNERS
In addition to being part of the circular economy, Round & Round the Garden actively supports charities and organisations that are tackling climate change. We have an ongoing relationship with Greenfleet, who plant trees on our behalf and we also support the work of Groundswell Giving and others. A portion of our revenue goes towards these organisations to further help their incredible and important efforts. We also recycle our unwearable textiles with Upparel who have become absolute game changers in this space.
